It's been a slow-burning love story between 50 Cent and Louisiana. The rap legend turned business mogul has invested heavily in Shreveport, which is probably why some people have claimed he already owns a home in Louisiana. While it's true he's dropped millions into the state, he doesn't live here just yet.

For some time now, a video has floated around the internet that has many convinced 50 Cent already owns a large mansion in the Bayou State. The video is a livestreamed tour of 50 Cent's mansion, which usually has the title "50 Cent's New Louisiana Mansion." The truth is, this video has been mislabeled over and over enough that it's convinced some people that 50 has a home in Louisiana, but the video only shows 50's Houston mansion.

50 Cent has already invested millions into commercial real estate across Shreveport for a few big projects, which may draw him towards living in the state down the road. The biggest by far will be G-Unit Studios, which has already acquired tons of space in the city. The most recently announced projects that could really sway 50 to buy a home in Louisiana are the G-Dome live event venue and the announcement of another Humor & Harmony festival.

With Humor & Harmony looking like it's going to become a regularly occurring event, and the G-Dome making big promises for North Louisiana, there's going to be a big workload on 50's plate that could keep him in and around Shreveport a lot more. Even though 50 doesn't actually own a Louisiana mansion, it would make perfect sense for him to.
