Shreveport Mudbugs Hockey Ready to Celebrate Mardi Gras 2025

It's finally here, Mardi Gras weekend with the Shreveport Mudbugs!

It's Mardi Gras weekend at George's Pond, inside the historic Hirsch Coliseum, this Friday and Saturday night. The Mudbugs are taking on the Colorado Grit for a pair of games. The Bugs have jumped into the 2nd place in the South Division of the NAHL, behind only their long time rivals the Lone Star Brahmas. While Colorado comes into the weekend at 7th in the Division.

But it won't be all about the hockey this weekend. This is one of the biggest "vibes" weekends of the year for the Mudbugs.

The entertainment and environment this weekend will be all about Mardi Gras. They'll have Mardi Gras giveaways, King Cake, and Mardi Gras-themed games with fans. They'll even be bringing back their ultra-popular intermission parades.

Yes, parades. There will be mini-Mardi Gras parades right inside George's Pond all weekend long.

This is one of the best weekends to bring the family out during the whole hockey season. Tons of fans will be dressed to their Mardi Gras best, just drenched in gold, green, and purple. Piles of beads and big hats. You will also see members of local Mardi Gras Krewes on-hand all weekend, with some participating in the Mardi Gras parades through the stands.
