Louisiana Shoppers Are Furious Over Walmart Checkout Changes
LAKE CHARLES, LOUISIANA: Many Walmart customers are airing out their grievances over their disgust of the recent checkout policy changes that the retailer rolled down. We have all the details.
Louisiana Walmart customers have to be thinking to themselves every time they walk into the store, "I wonder what I will get myself into today".
Walmart recently made a checkout policy change to limit self-checkout transactions to 15 items or less.
One customer recently posted on X that they were kicked out of the self-checkout are for having 23 items and made to stand in a line with eight customers with full buggies in front of them.
But it's even worse in some select Walmart stores. In these locations, the only customers that can use the self-checkouts are the ones who are subscribed to Walmart+.
Another change in checkout policy that is causing resentment in Walmart customers is that stores can now close down the self-checkouts during the busiest parts of the day.
Another customer recently posted on X that they usually spend $500 a month at Walmart, but at their last shopping trip their experience was so bad that they left their buggy in the store and will be spending their money at Food Lion from now on.
Walmart has been responding to customers complaining on social media and seem to want to hear their feedback. Hopefully some good will come out of them reaching out to customers and the checkout policies will be amended to be more customer friendly.
