Texas Storms On the Way, Snow Possible in Some Areas
(KNUE-FM) It’s Springtime in Texas, which means you need to be careful because we never truly know what kind of weather to expect. Weather experts are saying that is especially true if you live near the Texas Panhandle.
Texas is beautiful all year round, but currently the weather is so unpredictable you need to be prepared for just about anything.
Which is why I wasn’t shocked when I saw that My San Antonio was reporting that snow could return to Texas this week.

Be Prepared for This Weekend
Meteorologists in Texas are saying that a winter blitz could be kicking off on Friday and last through the weekend.
It all depends on how much cold air sweeps across the Lone Star State, it’s possible there could be a few snowflakes that fall.
Moisture is expected to surge toward across west Texas beginning on Thursday, it might be cold enough for snow to mix in across the panhandles.
The precipitation levels are above 50% beginning on Friday and aren’t expected to drop until Saturday evening, so it really depends on how cold the temperatures get in the area.

Not the First Time Texas Has Seen Snow in April
There was a late blizzard that hit the panhandle in March of 2009, with 11 inches blanketing the area.
If Texas does see any snow this weekend it won’t be anywhere near 11 inches, but it’s important to stay prepared as mother nature is just so unexpected.
If you were planning on traveling to the Texas Panhandle this weekend it might be a good idea to push that trip back for a week or two. Just to be safe.
