Trader Joe’s Named America’s #1 Grocer for 2026, Why is Shreveport Still Waiting?
Trader Joe’s will forever be one of my favorite places on Earth.
It’s the ultimate grocery store for people who actually enjoy grocery shopping, those of us who love hunting for new seasonal treasures and artisanal snacks without needing a second mortgage to pay for them. Between the risk-free return policy and that "Two-Buck Chuck" charm, the atmosphere is actually fun. No coupons, no membership cards it's just pure, snack-fueled joy.
But here is the problem: why do we have to leave the 318 to get our fix?
We’ve watched New Orleans score multiple locations and even Lafayette is officially getting in on the action with a new store on Camellia Boulevard. It begs the question: why isn't the Shreveport-Bossier area on the shortlist?
It turns out we aren't alone in our obsession. A brand new 2026 report from the American Consumer Satisfaction Index officially ranked Trader Joe’s as America’s #1 grocery store with a staggering 86-point rating, knocking giants like Publix and Costco off the top spot.
So, what do we have to do to score a location? We’re tired of driving to Dallas or Little Rock for Everything But The Bagel Seasoning. It’s time for the 318 to get the artisanal grocery experience we deserve, finally
What stores would you like to see move into Shreveport?
