Stephanie Locke Is Latest Caught in the Act Award Recipient
It doesn't happen very often, but when it does, it makes them truly special to us.

It's those times when we personally know the person nominated for the auspicious Caught in the Act Award!
This week, it was somewhat melancholy, in that, not only do we know the nominee, but we know the pain she's felt for years, and yet we watched in admiration as she's stayed strong and an inspiration to anyone she might encounter.
Just take a look at this amazing letter from Christina Fox, and you'll see exactly why Stephanie Locke is an incredible selection as this week's recipient of the Kiss Country Caught in the Act Award!
I am not as close to this precious person as most people who nominate others are to their nominees. However, this lady has such a great impact on my young daughters as well as the young daughters and sons of so many people, she deserves recognition. Coach Locke is the PE teacher at North DeSoto Lower Elementary. She taught my middle child for all 4 years she spent at the school. She now has the task of teaching my youngest child as well as my nephew. Coach Locke greets each and every parent, child, and visitor each morning with a smiling face and a pep in her step. Each afternoon she walks down the North DeSoto Lower Elementary car line preparing our babies for their trip home. And, if you know or have heard anything about the carline, we have it going on back there. She also coaches the North DeSoto Middle School girls’ basketball team which is an after school and/or weekend task. Because it is middle school basketball, this isn't a class that she teaches throughout her regular school day. She also has a student teacher in her gym this year - Coach Smiley – to whom she has passed her love for not only education but for the kids. You would never know she is experiencing anything like what she experiences every day - I know I had no idea. I don't know all of the details, but I know she helps both of her daughters as they both suffer from rare genetic disorders. One of her daughters almost lost her life early last year just after having a baby. The second daughter recently had a liver biopsy and stomach surgery after being told she wouldn't live to see 20. She is currently undergoing chemotherapy. Stephanie also moved her mother into her home last year as well. However, like I said, even with all of these happenings in her person life, she still has it in her heart to give to the kids that she loves each and every day - by choice! I truly would give this woman the world if I could because she is just such a great positive role model and influence in such young lives. I am thankful for her, I know others are too, and she deserves some recognition.
Stephanie Locke, because you've been 'Caught in the Act', John and the gang at the Magnolia Pit have a $50 gift certificate for you to come enjoy a great meal!
Take a listen to the phone call we made to Stephanie to let her know that she was this week's Caught In The Act Award recipient.
