Mark Garcie Puts It All Out There For His Shreveport Neighbors

Mark's neighbor, Debbie Hayes, tells us that he's a true angel and not only has he been there for her, but his kindness and compassion have been felt by many others in his neighborhood!

Just look at the nomination letter that Debbie sent in for Mark and you'll see how easy it was to name him our latest recipient of the Kiss Country Caught in the Act Award!

Mark Garcie is truly a neighborhood angel. He's been mowing my grass for about a year now! It started about a year ago when my mower was on the blink. I had posted a few times on FB seeking information on what might be wrong with my mower. Then, I started noticing that my grass was cut! I'd come home from work and it was beautiful! Just about once a week he'd mow my grass! Even last week in the extreme heat, he mowed my grass! His kindness means so much to me. We live in south Caddo parish so the front yard is pretty big. My husband is not able any longer; he's basically bed bound. I still have a job and work in addition to taking care of him as well as trying to see to the needs of my 93 year old mother who lives in town. So I have very little time to do yard work. Mark stepped in when I was about desperate for help. He never makes a big deal about it and doesn't accept anything in return. Hot or not, he's made sure that my front yard looks amazing. It looks way better than I could ever have done. This is not his first act of kindness. I've learned that he also helps another neighbor by taking him to the store when he needs a few things. Also, in the past he mowed for another neighbor who was elderly and needed assistance. Mark is a wonderful neighborhood angel and I'd like to tell him thank you! He is retired and could be out enjoying his time, but instead he's helping his neighbors, giving of himself donating his time and resources to make sure his neighbors are taken care of! Thank you, Mark!!!!
