New Study Ranks Louisiana Among Least Patriotic In The US
If Wallethub's findings are correct, Louisiana needs a big dose of red, white and blue.

In a story from the financial website, we learn that they've determined Louisiana to be the third least patriotic state in all of America.
As the USA prepares for our upcoming 250th birthday celebration, Wallethub's analysts compiled the list of most and least patriotic states in the country and when the dust settled, Louisiana was near the rock bottom, finishing in a dismal 48th place.

Arkansas, according to their findings, was determined to be the least patriotic of all states, while New York finished 49th, just ahead of Louisiana.

The three states exhibiting the most patriotism were Virginia, Montana and Vermont, finishing first, second and third respectively.
So, how did Wallethub come to these determinations? They used what they consider 13 key indicators of patriotism which included variables like each state’s military enlistees and veterans to the share of adults who voted in the 2024 presidential election to AmeriCorps volunteers per capita.
According to Wallethub analyst Chip Lupo, "The most patriotic states have a lot of residents who serve or have served in the armed forces, high voter turnouts during elections, and a high share of the population volunteering with national or local organizations. Patriotism also isn’t concentrated in any one particular area – the top states are located in vastly different geographic regions."
