DOTD is planning some repair work to the deck of this bridge, which is immediately east of the US 79/US 80 interchange (Exit 5), and in order to accomplish the task, they'll need to close this lane from approximately 6:00 am to 3:00 pm this one day only.

The notice from DOTD highlights that this critical work will help to ensure a smooth driving surface, and keep the structure in service to the traveling public.

Work of this type is contingent upon weather conditions, so any inclement weather could delay, extend, or alter in other ways the scheduled work day/hours.

DOTD appreciates your patience and reminds you to please drive with caution through the construction site and be on the lookout for work crews and their equipment. Remember to leave plenty of room between you and the vehicle in front of you.

Area residents should exercise caution when driving, walking, or biking near an active construction zone.
