A young Houston man pleads guilty to federal drug trafficking violations in East Texas.  U.S. Attorney for the Eastern District of Texas John Bales says 21-year-old Saul Cobarrubias has pled guilty to conspiracy to possess with intent to distribute cocaine and conspiracy to commit money laundering. According to court information, in March of last year, Cobarrubias travelled from Houston to Tyler, Texas, with two kilograms of cocaine for distribution in the area. He admitted that he had between 15 and 50 kilos of the drug. He also admitted to helping collect illegal proceeds from the sale and purchase of cocaine and using bank accounts to manage the funds. Cobarrubias faces at least 10 years in federal prison. No sentencing date has been set.
