Excitement Builds as Top Poker Players Hit Bossier City

Wanna try a poker tournament? You have a chance right here in Bossier City over the next 10 days. I love sitting down at a table and playing poker. But I must admit I'm not really as good as some of the great poker players in this area. A pretty big tournament is happening over the next 10 days at Horseshoe. Some of the region's best poker players will converge on our community for this event.

Dealers have also come in from all around the state to help deal at these events. They help make everything so much fun.

The Southern Poker Ark-La-Tex Series kicked off this week with some satellite events and it continues through March 8. There is a $250,000 guaranteed Main Event tournament that will attract some pretty good poker talent.

It all kicked off on Thursday with a satellite event. I tried my hand in the event and got up and down for a few hours. But in the end, I busted out. But I'm not done. There are several events as part of this huge poker event. And I will be popping in for a few of these events.

If you are new to poker, or you've always wanted to try it, I suggest you check out this event. They have several options that won't cost you an arm and a leg. There's even a rookies event which won't be such a pressure cooker.

I also want you to know these folks you will find at the tables are so kind and they want to make sure everyone has fun.

I will definitely be at the Ladies only event on Monday evening. I really encourage women who are interested in poker to give it a shot. These ladies are always so sweet and very willing to help new players. This specific event begins at 6pm on Monday and will cost you $300. Hope I see you there.
