Turks faces multiple charges, including aggravated flight from an officer, possession of narcotics, and additional offenses. It was also discovered that Turks had an outstanding warrant. Following the incident, he was taken to a local hospital to treat injuries sustained in the crash and later transported to Shreveport City Jail.

Shreveport police issued the following statement:

Shreveport Police are thankful that no serious injuries occurred during this dangerous pursuit. This incident serves as a reminder: fleeing from law enforcement is both illegal and poses significant risks to the suspect, officers, and the general public. Such reckless behavior is a danger to our community and will not be tolerated.
