Here's a reminder that sometimes, it's bigger than baseball.

A viral video shows a high school pitcher striking out his opponent to seal a championship for his team. His team rushes the field to celebrate but he doesn't join in right away.

Instead, he walks over to console the batter he just struck out in a moment that has set the internet on fire.

According to ABC News, the two boys are childhood friends and played youth baseball together.

Mounds View pitcher Ty Koehn struck out Jack Kocon of Totino-Grace to end the game in the Class 4A, Section 5 baseball final last week. But before joining his teammates in the celebration, Koehn consoled Kocon at home plate.

Koehn walks his friend back to his dugout before joining the celebration with the rest of his teammates proving that what I said earlier is true: Sometimes, it's bigger than baseball.
