Hiding Under A Nearby House Proves Not To Be A Good Get-Away Plan for Armed Robbers
Police nab two of three armed suspects responsible for robbing a Family Dollar store in the 3800 block of Linwood Avenue.
Just after two o'clock today, Shreveport Police patrol officers responded to a reported robbery at the Family Dollar in the 3800 block of Linwood Avenue. Upon arrival there, patrolmen contacted witnesses who told them that three suspects entered the store armed with guns, and wearing bandanas over portions of their faces. Once inside the store, the armed bandits took an undisclosed amount of money from the store's cash register. A customer inside the store at the time was also robbed of a wallet. Following the robbery, all three suspects fled the store heading south on foot. With the help of patrol, CLO officers, and two K-9 officers, two of the three suspects involved in the robbery were located just blocks away from the store hiding under a house. The third suspect is still at large; however detectives are working to identify that suspect at this time. No one was injured during the robbery.
Police arrested 18 year old Coby Jamison of Shreveport, along with a 15 year old juvenile, also of Shreveport.
Investigators are working at this time reviewing surveillance video footage from the business. Anyone who has any information regarding this robbery is urged to call Shreveport Police Detective John Jackson at 318-673-6955 or Shreveport-Caddo Parish Crime Stoppers at 318-673-7373.
