It runs from 11:30 am till 1:00 pm.  Tickets are $10 and they're available by emailing your request to info@shreveportnorth.org

Twenty teams from the Fire, Police, and Sheriff's Departments, as well as others from the community, will be competing in ribs, brisket, and chicken categories.  There will also be Grand Champion, Best Side Dish, and People's Choice categories.

Among the judges for the competition will be Shreveport Fire Chief Craig Mulford, Caddo Sheriff Steve Prator and Shreveport Police Chief Willie Shaw.   Other judges will be DDA Director Liz Swain, North Shreveport Business Association President Beckie Willis, and City Councilwoman Rose Wilson-McCulloch.

The event has grown every year.  Last year it attracted over 1000 attendees.  Proceeds from the event are used to benefit the Fire, Police, and Sheriff's Departments' special projects.
