Fall is right around the corner and our next big event is Halloween. Shreveport has several local groups sponsoring events aimed at the entire family. We have put together a list of some of the biggest events around northwest Louisiana. Some are for families and a few are just for grown-ups.

What Kinds of Great Events Are Planned for Halloween

You will find pumpkin patch information. We also have details on fall festivals that are coming up. You might spot a couple of scary choices on the list including a some haunted houses and the zombie walk which is back. But you will also find specific info on what has become the biggest Halloween event in the area, Pumpkin Shine on Line. This event attracts folks from all over the region to Betty Virginia Park. How Big Is Halloween for Louisiana Residents?

Halloween is one of the holidays that continues to see growth in spending across the state. The National Retail Federation says 72% of consumers are planning to celebrate Halloween this year. We spend, on average, more than $103 dollars a person. Total spending on Halloween this year is expected to top the $12 billion dollar mark.
