Gunman in Dallas Crime Spree Believed to Be in Shreveport
Local authorities are on the lookout for a suspect wanted for a crime spree that began late last night in the Dallas area.
Police say 40-year-old Silvestre Franco-Luviano is considered armed and dangerous. He was believed to be at a home in the 600 block of Bringhurst Drive in Shreveport. Officers searched the home, but didn't find Franco-Luciano or a silver Lexus he stole during a break-in at a home in Dallas.
Franco-Luviano is said to be responsible for two fatal shootings -- one at Belt Line Road and Broad Street, and the other at a gas station off of U.S. 67. He also shot at several other vehicles in Cedar Hill.
The suspect is described as a 120-pound Hispanic male in his early 20's, about 5'10" with a thin build and dark hair. The Texas license plate number on the stolen Lexus is DPG6380. Call 911 if you see him or the vehicle.
Caddo sheriff's deputies and Shreveport police continue to search for him. However, they say they have reason to believe he may not even have been in our area. We'll have more info as it comes in.
