One of the handguns and the AR style pistol were illegally equipped with a device converting them to fire as fully automatic weapons. Further investigation led to four people being arrested at the scene.

Since then, he was arrested in December of 2018 for manufacturing and distribution of schedule I and resisting an officer, and in May of 2021 for possession of schedule I and illegally carrying weapons. He bonded out of jail after each of those arrests as well.
