Man Pleads Guilty in Caddo Court to Rape of Underage Girl

An Alabama man who forced sex acts on a underage female in Caddo Parish more than a decade ago pleaded guilty in Caddo District Court to forcible rape.

42 year-old Tarance LaMichael English, pleaded guilty just after the victim, who was between 7 & 12 years old during the assaults that took place from 2010 to 2015, finished testifying before the 10 women and two male jurors.

After he pleaded guilty, the Judge sentenced him to 20 years in prison at hard labor without the benefit of probation, parole or suspension of sentence. English also has to register as a sex offender for life. The Judge also ordered a 50-year protective that says he must stay far away from the victim.

Between 2010 and 2015, English forced the victim to have sex. The assaults happened in Caddo parish but were reported in Alabama. Testimony was given by the victim and a forensic interviewer from Alabama.
