Things got heated in Sunday's match up between the Bills and the Patriots. Despite the fact the Pats blew out the Bills 23 to 3, the rivalry game was extra vicious. Before the game, the Pats signed several players off the Bills practice squad. In the game, every hit was violent.

Bills QB Tyrod Taylor had to be carted off the field with a knee injury. Several other players got banged up as well. But, the play EVERYONE is talking about, is the dirty hit Pats' Tight End Rob Gronkowski laid on Bills cornerback and Shreveport guy Tre'Davious White.

Following an interception defense from White, Gronk came in and lowered the boom on Tre after he was clearly out of bounds and down by contact. White was treated for a head injury following the play and was clearly shaken up.

After the game, Gronk apologized for his actions, saying:

I definitely want to apologize to No. 27. I'm not in the business of that. It was a lot of frustration. I was just really frustrated and at that moment it just happened naturally through emotions and frustration. I just want to apologize to Tre'Davious White. I don't really believe in the type of shots like that. But just through TE frustration process, the game of football, emotions, is just what happened.

Gronk is expected to be fined and possibly suspended for his actions on the play.
