This year’s Honored Celebrity Chefs are Orlando Chapman, owner of Brother’s Seafood, Matthew Linn, owner of Columbia Café, and Gayland Johnson, Executive Chef, Ralph & Kacoo’s. We will also pay special tribute to local restaurateur, the late “Brother” Chapman, father of Chef Orlando Chapman.

Past Celebrity Chefs who have competed in the event include Caddo Parish Sheriff Steve Prator, Shreveport Mayor Cedric Glover, Shreveport Fire Chief Brian Crawford, former Shreveport Mayor Keith Hightower, and former U.S. Congressman Jim McCrery. Past Honored Celebrity Chefs were the late Pete Harris (Freeman & Harris Café), Chef Ernest Palmisano, Jr. (Ernest’s Orleans Restaurant and Cocktail Lounge), Gerald Savoie (Savoie’s Restaurant and Catering), and Jason and Michael Brady (Wine Country).

Tickets are available at the Southern University at Shreveport Foundation offices located at 610 Texas Street, Suite 400, anytime between 9 a.m. and 5 p.m., Monday through Friday, or by calling (318) 670-6681. Ticket prices are $25.00 for adults, $10.00 for children ages 6 through 13, and children five years of age and younger are admitted free with a paid adult.
