Free Fishing Weekend

Wondering what you're going to do this weekend? Why not go fishing? Tomorrow and Sunday, you can fish anywhere in Louisiana without a recreational fishing license. The Department of Wildlife and Fisheries sets aside one weekend in June every year as a way to introduce people to fishing or to encourage those who have stopped fishing to start again. If you're already an angler, you're encouraged to take a non-licensed friend with you this weekend. And, while we're on the subject of licenses, remember that your 2011-2012 fishing and hunting licenses expire June 30th.
