Former UL Star Tracy Walker Has Solid Thanksgiving Day Game
Former Louisiana Ragin' Cajun defensive back Tracy Walker had a solid game on Thanksgiving Day, despite his team falling short on the field.
Currently a member of the Detroit Lions, Walker recorded 7 tackles, including 6 solo stops, in a 24-20 setback to the Chicago Bears.
Of course, Walker's play on Thanksgiving Day has been the norm for him in 2019.
Through nine games this season, Walker has compiled 62 tackles, including 53 solo stops, for an average of 7 tackles-per-game.
His 53 solo tackles rank Walker in the top 20 in the entire league, despite him missing three games due to injury.
Last season, Walker, who played for the Cajuns from 2014-2017, had a solid rookie campaign for Detroit, after being selected by the Lions in the third round of the 2018 NFL Draft, compiling 21 tackles, to go along with an interception and two passes defended.
A native of Brunswick, Georgia, Walker compiled 97 tackles and two interceptions in 2017 as a senior at UL and finished his stellar collegiate career with 276 tackles and 8 interceptions over 50 games.
