Former President Jimmy Carter to Visit Shreveport-Bossier

A former president will make a pre-Halloween visit to Shreveport-Bossier. Community Renewal will welcome Jimmy Carter on October 30, 2014, to help celebrate the non-profit's 20th anniversary.

Carter is an advocate for non-profits, and is already a fan of Community Renewal, thanks to his visits with Mack McCarter.

During his visit, Carter will tour Friendship Houses and neighborhoods that Community Renewal serves. This will be a first for any president or former president.

Carter will cap off his visit with a brief speech at the Municipal Auditorium. We'll bring you more specifics once we get them.
