
Two Felons Arrested for Gun Possession by Shreveport Police
On Sunday, Shreveport Police made a traffic stop for several violations which led to the arrest of a convicted felon in possession of a firearm.
SPD Officers identified the driver as Dacarea Jackson, who was in possession of a gun. The investigation revealed Jackson is not allowed to be in possession of a firearm due to a prior conviction for Domestic Abuse Battery by Strangulation.
Jackson has been charged with Possession of a Firearm by a Convicted Felon, Domestic Abuse Battery, and multiple traffic violations.
30 minutes after that stop, SPD arrested Obreyon Pouncy, who was also found to be armed with a gun during a traffic stop. Pouncy is not allowed to possess firearm due to prior felony narcotics convictions.
Pouncy has been charged with Possession of a Firearm by a Convicted Felon, Reckless Operation of a Vehicle, and Interfering with a Law Enforcement Investigation.
