Another local woman is behind bars this afternoon in connection with the burglary of a west Shreveport business.

Detectives apprehended 26 year old Kendra Rideout without incident this afternoon at her home in the 2500 block of Emery Street in Shreveport and subsequently booked her into the Shreveport City Jail on one count of simple burglary. Rideout was developed as a suspect after evidence recovered from the scene of  the burglary in the 2500 block of Claiborne Avenue linked her to the crime. Investigators believe Rideout later pawned at least one of the items stolen in the burglary at a local pawn shop.

The caper began in the early morning hours of Monday July 25, 2011 when several suspects entered Danny Nims’ shop on Claiborne Avenue and stole numerous items, including a television, DVD player, and computer monitor, before fleeing the scene of the crime with the stolen merchandise. Detectives arrested 18 year old DCandice Davis this morning and charged her with one count of simple burglary. Investigators report their inquiry is ongoing and they anticipate other arrests. Anyone with any information regarding this crime is urged to call Shreveport Police detectives at 318-673-6985 or Shreveport-Caddo Parish Crime Stoppers at 318-673-7373.
