If you're going to be flying out of Shreveport Regional Airport, or meeting somebody who'd arriving at the airport, Saturday morning you may run into some delays.

That's because an 18-wheeled delivery truck struck and became lodged under the canopy of the parking lot security check point at the main entrance to the airport today.  Workers are going to have to remove the damaged canopy, so the main entrance to the airport will be intermittently closed between 9:30 and 11:00 in the morning.

It is suggested that you use the alternate entrance to the airport and its parking lot via Interstate Drive off Hollywood Avenue.  That's just east of the main airport entrance.  Airport officials say departing passengers should plan on arriving at least two hours before their scheduled departure time to avoid any delays the canopy removal work might cause.
