Three employees set to lose their jobs at the Shreveport Metropolitan Planning Commission have filed a complaint against board. The employees were recently told they were being let go for budgetary reasons, however, the group says the real reason they are being fired is because of their age. All three of the staff members are over 60 years old.

MPC Executive Director Mark Sweeney says their firing is simply because there is not enough money to pay them and that the three can apply for other jobs at a lower salary. The position changes will take place in March of 2017.
