Two separate shootings have left eight people injured in Shreveport over Mother's Day Weekend.

The call for the first shooting came into dispatch around 12:13 a.m. early Saturday from the Sunoco corner store, located at the corner of Jewella Avenue and Hollywood Avenue. When first responders arrived on the scene, they located 3 victims suffering from gunshot wounds to the body. Minutes later is when they located a male victim at the corner of Flora Street and Jewella Avenue. He was suffering from a gunshot wound to his leg.

All 4 victims were rushed to Ochsner Health Hospital to be treated for their injuries. Their injuries are described as serious and possibly life-threatening. Officers located a black Tahoe at the store down the street from where the shooting and the vehicle had multiple bullet holes in it.

This is an ongoing investigation and no other details are available at this time. We will update when more information becomes available.

The second shooting of the weekend happened at a popular bar on Mansfield road. The 4 shooting victims arrived via private vehicles at Willis Knighton north, Willis Knighton South and Ochsner Health Hospital. Those victims started arriving at each ER beginning around 1:07 a.m. Sunday morning.

The victims were all suffering from gunshot wounds to their body. Their condition is considered as serious and possibly life-threatening. One vehicle was shot up during the pandemonium. Detectives and officers collected nearly 20 shell casings from the bar parking lot.
