Are You Paying an “Egg Surcharge” at Your Favorite Louisiana Restaurant?
It isn't as if inflation hasn't already caused every day prices for Americans to skyrocket. According the the federal government's Budget Committee, Biden's 20 percent Inflation Tax has cost the American taxpayer dearly.
According to the Budget Committee report, "the average American family of four is paying an additional $17,080 per year, or just over $1400 per month, to buy the same goods and services they were buying in January of 2021."

Right now, Americans are reeling just from the price of a dozen eggs. According to NerdWallet.com, a price of eggs in 2022 was just under $2 a dozen. A price that had been holding steady since 2016, just over 6 years.
Then egg prices started climbing. At first, inflation might have been to blame, but a severe case of the bird flu has been spreading since 2022, causing farmers to have to destroy their entire flocks. In California in February, egg prices reached over $9 a dozen.
But then, according to a story on FoxNews, "the Biden Administration ordered the mass killing of more than 100 million chickens, which has led to a lack of chicken supply in this country, therefore, a lack of egg supply, which is leading to the shortage." White House Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt told the press on January 28th.
This egg shortage has caused some restaurants to impose a temporary "egg surcharge" on their egg dishes on the menu. Most notably, Waffle House announced back in January, they are implementing a .50-cent per egg charge on all orders.
