Shortly before 1:45 this morning, officers arrived at an apartment in the 4300 block of Lakeshore Drive to find 26-year-old Latonya King with a cut on the bridge of her nose and a large gash on her forehead. She was treated at the scene. Detectives have learned that King and a woman she knows have been in an ongoing conflict over a man they've both been romantically involved with. The woman evidently came over to King's home and started a fight with her, pulling out some sort of edged weapon and cutting King's face. She took off right before police got there, but detectives think they know who she is. They're trying to catch her now.

Several hours later, a shooting in Shreveport's Cedar Grove neighborhood sends one man to the hospital. Just after 4:30 this morning, police were called to the LSU Hospital emergency room to a report that someone had dropped off a man who had been shot. Before he was taken in for surgery, 26-year-old Henry Lee told detectives that he was shot somewhere on St. Vincent Avenue near W. 75th Street. Later, police recovered a vehicle with several bullet holes in it that they think may have been involved. They're still investigating. Meantime, Lee is recovering from a gunshot wound to the abdomen.
