Shreveport authorities are investigating a tragic shooting that claimed the lives of two individuals early Tuesday morning. At approximately 12:45 a.m. on April 21, 2026, Shreveport Police Department officers and Fire Department medics responded to a residence at 4110 Forest Oak Drive. Upon arrival, first responders discovered two people inside the home suffering from critical gunshot wounds.

Early Morning Altercation Leads to Double Fatality

Both victims were rushed to Ochsner LSU Health Shreveport, but despite medical efforts, they were pronounced deceased shortly after arrival. The Caddo Parish Coroner’s Office has been notified to assist in the formal proceedings.

Dispute Over Property Escalates to Deadly Struggle

Preliminary findings from the Shreveport Police Department suggest the incident began as a verbal argument between the two individuals. Detectives believe the disagreement centered on a damaged cell phone. The situation escalated when one person produced a handgun, leading to a physical struggle over the weapon. Investigators conclude that during this struggle, both individuals sustained fatal injuries.
