
Domestic Violence Leads to Death of Unborn Child in Shreveport

SHREVEPORT, LA- Man arrested following domestic incident resulting in loss of unborn child
On February 6, 2024, at approximately 9:54 p.m., officers responded to a call in the 5100 block of Monkhouse Drive regarding a domestic incident. Upon arrival, officers discovered a female victim, approximately five months pregnant, who had been involved in a physical altercation. She was promptly transported to a local hospital for medical attention.
Detectives from the Shreveport Police Department's Domestic Violence Unit responded to the scene to conduct an investigation. Tragically, it was determined that due to the severity of the victim's injuries, the unborn child did not survive.
After thorough investigative efforts, on February 9, detectives successfully apprehended the suspect, identified as 34-year-old Anthony Walker. Walker was arrested and is facing charges including one count of domestic abuse battery of a pregnant victim, and one count of domestic abuse battery with bodily injury.
