Domestic Violence in Shreveport Leads to Arrest

On September 30th, 2023, Shreveport Police officers were called to a residence in the 1700 block of Harvard Avenue on reports of a domestic incident. Patrol officers arrived and located a pregnant female victim who reportedly was attacked by a male suspect. The victim was found to have multiple injuries including fractures to bones in her face.

Officers determined that Dequincey Taylor (5/17/85) reportedly was responsible for the significant injuries sustained by the victim. Detectives arrested and charged Taylor with one count of Domestic Abuse Battery Upon a Pregnant Victim and one count of Domestic Abuse Battery with Serious Bodily Injury.

The victim is expected to recover.
