Shreveport Police Looking for Domestic Abuse Suspect

Shreveport police need your help to find a man wanted for a violent confrontation with his girlfriend. The incident happened in the early morning hours of March 21.

According to investigators, Allen Pennington and the victim—his live-in girlfriend—had been celebrating a birthday on March 20th when things turned violent. Pennington allegedly accused the victim of cheating on him before he hit her in the face and grabbed her around the throat until she lost consciousness—twice.

During the incident, Pennington also reportedly took the victim’s cell phone before fleeing the scene.

Detectives interviewed the victim and were able to document her injuries using body-worn camera footage. They also gathered statements from witnesses.

An arrest warrant has been issued for Pennington on these charges:

· Domestic Abuse Battery by Strangulation (14:35.3(L))

· Felony Theft (14:67)
