DNA Evidence Links Shreveport Teen to E. 68th Street Shooting

A local teen is behind bars after crime scene evidence linked him to a June 22, 2014, shooting.

It happened in the 100 block of E. 68th Street. The victim, 18-year-old Sonatra Kennon, told officers someon pulled a gun and threatened to shoot him. The suspect reportedly fired a shot, then took off. Kennon wasn't wounded.

Evidence recovered from the scene was sent to the North Louisiana Crime Lab for analysis, and has now been linked to a 16-year-old male. He's now booked into the Caddo Juvenile Detention Center on one count of illegal use of a weapon.
