
Two Arrested Following Deadly Crash Caused by Drag Racing in Shreveport
Shreveport Police Department were dispatched to Pines Road in reference to a major traffic crash involving injuries.
When SPD got to the scene, they located two cars with significant damage in the roadway. The driver of one car was unconscious and not breathing. A passing nurse immediately stopped and started CPR until emergency personnel arrived.
The Shreveport Fire Department got to the scene and took the drivers of both vehicles, along with five passengers from one of the vehicles, to the hospital. Despite life-saving efforts, the driver who had been receiving CPR died from his injuries.
Officers determined that the crash was the result of drag racing on Pines Road. The victim, a father traveling with his family on Easter, was struck during this reckless act.
As a result of the investigation, these men were arrested for the following:
· Geremey Gerjuan Wilson - Negligent Homicide
· Ladarrius Demareya Williams - Reckless Operation
