Dash-cam video from a police officer's car is said to have played a huge role in the plea reversal of the man on trial for trying to kill him.

Lead Prosecutor Santi Parks tells KEEL News Malik Wortham was on trial for attempted first-degree murder for trying to shoot Bossier City Police Sgt. Kenneth Johnson following a traffic stop this past April outside the West Gate of Barksdale Air Force Base.

After seeing the jury's reaction to the video, and Sgt. Johnson's statement, Wortham decided to change his plea to guilty.

Wortham had a round improperly loaded into his firearm the night of the shooting, which is likely the reason why the officer is still alive today.
