
Shreveport’s Easter Crawfish Guide: Where to Find $5 Boiled Mudbugs Right Now
We are getting close to the peak of crawfish season across Louisiana, but we're not there yet. It will still be about a month before we see the best prices of the season. Prices in Shreveport and Bossier City are still higher than what folks are paying in south Louisiana. It will also still be a little while before we see the largest sizes of mudbugs this year.
How Much Are Boiled Crawfish in Shreveport?
But things are getting better. Prices are dropping at most of the vendors we checked around Shreveport and Bossier. The best deal for boiled crawfish we could find was at Cooyon's Cajun Crawfish in Bossier City. They are selling boiled crawfish for just $5 a pound. This is a unique business. It's a drive through operation and they are very efficient. Most of our favorite spots are charging right at $6 a pound for juicy boiled mudbugs.

How Much Are Live Crawfish in Shreveport?
If you are planning to have a crawfish boil for the Easter weekend, you can find the best price for live crawfish at Crawfish Palace in Haughton. They are selling bags of live crawfish for $2.49 a pound. Several spots are selling live crawfish for about $3 a pound.
We do expect the prices for boiled crawfish to drop under $5 a pound at many vendors in the next few weeks. Just in time for Mudbug Madness over the Memorial Day weekend, prices will take a dip and the size will go up.
