Company Makes Dog Biscuits from Nutria

A Baton Rouge company has developed a new dog  treat  that  is  better for dogs and good for the environment. Marsh Dog makes the treats called Barataria Bites using nutria meat. Nutria is lower in fat and higher in  protein  than  either  chicken  or turkey. Because Nutria are  a leading cause of coastal erosion, using them to make dog treats helps save our disappearing coastline.  Barataria  Bites  are available in Baton Rouge now and soon statewide.
