
GAMBLING SHOCKER: Shreveport Casino Cash Plunges from $57M to $42M!
SHREVEPORT, LA – After a whopper of a month in March, gambling revenues drop back down in the Shreveport-Bossier Market.
March was the best month for the local casinos in more than a year with revenues topping the $57 million dollar mark.

The Louisiana Gaming Control Board reports revenues for April come in at $42 million for the 6 casinos in the market. That compares to $40 million for April last year. So, it is still good news.
The new kid on the block is having a dramatic impact from the jump. LIVE Casino is #2 on the list for the month bringing in $9.7 million. In fact, LIVE moved into the 2nd spot almost from opening day. The casino opened in the middle of February, so that month is not a fair comparison. But for March, LIVE brought in $12.3 million, second only to Margaritaville.

How Do the Shreveport-Bossier Casinos Stack Up?
Margaritaville $13.3 million
LIVE Casino $9.7 million
Bally’s $7.4 million
Horseshoe $5.4 million
Boomtown $3.7 million
Sam’s Town $2.7 million
Bally’s moved into 3rd place for the moving, moving past Horseshoe which was in 3rd place in March.
What Are the Casino Revenues in Other Louisiana Cities?
Here are the casino revenues in Lake Charles, Baton Rouge and New Orleans:
Lake Charles $58,207,923
New Orleans $25,903,501
Baton Rouge $25,075,543
This does not include the Harrah’s land based casino in New Orleans which brought in $22.5 million in April.
Total riverboat gaming revenue for the state in April checks in at $151 million. That’s down significantly from March revenues of $180 million. But we are still showing a big improvement from the numbers in April a year ago when the casinos brought in $138 million.
