SHREVEPORT, LA – After a whopper of a month in March, gambling revenues drop back down in the Shreveport-Bossier Market.

March was the best month for the local casinos in more than a year with revenues topping the $57 million dollar mark.

The Louisiana Gaming Control Board reports revenues for April come in at $42 million for the 6 casinos in the market. That compares to $40 million for April last year. So, it is still good news.

The new kid on the block is having a dramatic impact from the jump. LIVE Casino is #2 on the list for the month bringing in $9.7 million. In fact, LIVE moved into the 2nd spot almost from opening day. The casino opened in the middle of February, so that month is not a fair comparison. But for March, LIVE brought in $12.3 million, second only to Margaritaville.
