Shreveport Police Arrest Man for Sex Crimes and Robbery

Shreveport Police have arrested a man in connection with a carnal knowledge of a juvenile case involving a 14 year-old girl earlier this year. But the story doesn't stop there.

After a thorough investigation, SPD Detectives were able to identify Ja'Thomas L. Eddens as the suspect in the carnal knowledge case.

While Police were running Eddens name through the system to get a warrant, they found out he has an active warrant in San Antonio, Texas for armed robbery, and that the sexual assault involving a juvenile happened outside Shreveport's jurisdiction.

SPD were able to locate and arrest Eddens who was arrested on the outstanding warrant for robbery.

SPD's Sex Crimes Unit is working with the San Antonio Police to extradite Eddens for both the robbery and carnal knowledge case.
