Attempted Car Theft in Minden Leads to Child Being Injured

Minden Police are currently searching for two suspects who attempted to steal a car.

On Monday night (5/1/23) the owner of the vehicle stopped at Love's Truck Stop near I-20 in Minden. Two suspects then approached the vehicle and attempted to steal it. During their attempt to steal the car the vehicle owner was able to stop the suspects from taking the car.

As the suspects were trying to make a getaway, a 9-year-old girl was struck by the suspect's car. The child was rushed to a Shreveport hospital where she was treated for her injuries and is now in stable condition.

Minden authorities are now searching for the suspects who were driving a single-cab Chevy truck. Anyone with any information is urged to contact the Minden Police Department.
