Professional baseball may have left town but the Shreveport-Bossier Captains will be back this year.  Shreveport is one of the initial six cities to join the new Hall of Fame Baseball League -- a collegiate summer league.  The other five cities are in Texas and the league is headquartered in Dallas.  The league will make its debut this summer with some of the top college baseball players in the country taking to the field.  LSU, TECH, AND U-L-L are among the schools that have already committed to send players.  The league will feature a 44-game regular season schedule, an All Star Game in July, and playoffs in early August.
