
Caddo Sheriff’s Office to Hold Women’s Firearm Course for 2024
With the seemingly constant rise in violent crime, fears of becoming a victim are all too common. The need for a personal firearm as well as the need to properly and safely use it seems to be at an all-time high.
Gun violence is all too prevalent in Caddo Parish, and the Caddo Parish Sheriff's Office wants to make sure the citizens have a good knowledge and understanding of a firearm should the need to defend yourself in a violent situation.
Women are just as vulnerable as men to violent crime involving firearms, and some women were just not taught guns and gun safety from a young age. Caddo Parish Sheriff's Office is stepping up to make sure our area women have a leg-up on training and safety.
Caddo Parish Sheriff Steve Prator has announced the first Ladies' firearms and personal safety course for 2024. The course will be held on March 2 at the Caddo Sheriff's Regional Training Academy located at 15639 Hwy. 1 South. Pre-registration is mandatory to attend the free course. If you wish to attend, please call Meosha Hamilton at 681-0845 to sign up before February 29. Ladies must bring their own firearm and ammunition.
