Caddo Parish Sheriff’s Detectives are continuing their investigation into an early morning shooting.

Just before 2 a.m. Monday (3/20/23), patrol deputies were dispatched to the Grand Oaks Apartments in the 1600 block of North Forty Loop where they found a 18 year old victim lying outside his apartment near a dumpster suffering from multiple gunshot wounds. He was taken to Ochsner LSU Health Shreveport by ambulance for surgery with non-life-threatening injuries.

Detectives arrived on the scene and began their investigation into the shooting where they found multiple shell casings. One of the buildings in the complex filled with residents was also hit with bullets, but no one was hurt.

Right now, detectives have no leads to the suspect or suspects wanted in this shooting. There are no reports on the condition of the victim currently.
