Caddo Deputies Arrest Man for Sex Crimes Against a Juvenile

The Caddo Sheriff’s Special Victims Unit has arrested a man from DeSoto Parish for sex crimes involving a juvenile.

Last week, deputies from the CPSO Patrol began investigating a case of sexual misconduct involving a minor that occurred between 2015 and 2017. They reached out to CPSO's Special Victims Unit, which conducted an interview with the suspect, 67-year-old Jimmy Wendt.

Following an investigation, Detectives were able to secure a warrant for Wendt's arrest on charges of indecent behavior with a juvenile and sexual battery.

Wendt was arrested and transported to the Caddo Correctional Center, where he was booked on the aforementioned charge. The investigation is ongoing.
