There's a lot going on in Caddo Parish Public Schools for the upcoming week.

Here's a list of some of those, courtesy of schools spokeswoman Mary Nash-Wood:

Monday, October 3

Captain Shreve High School: Freshman/Junior Varsity Football vs Parkway Freshman/Junior Varsity, 5 p.m. at Parkway High School

Lakeshore Middle School: At 1:45 p.m., Lakeshore will host "Stomp Out Bullying" Pep Rally with Volunteers for Youth Justice in the Lakeshore Auditorium. The guest speaker will be Officer John Morton.

Youree Drive Middle School: The YDMS Softball team will play Ridgewood on Monday at Southwood High School. The game will begin at 6:30 p.m. They will also play Thursday night, October 6th against CMM at Captain Shreve High School. The game will begin at 5:30 p.m.

Youree Drive Middle School: Youree Drive Middle School will hold a Leukemia and Lymphoma Society Fundraiser called "Pennies for Patients." Each student will receive a collection box on Monday. Online donations may also be made to the LLS on their teacher's online giving page. The fundraiser will begin Monday and lasts for 3 weeks. The classroom which raises the most money each week will be allowed to have a jeans day on the following Monday. If the school reaches a minimum goal of $500.00 the top earning class will win an Olive Garden party! If the school reaches our goal of $2500.00 all students may participate in a jeans day on the announced date. We are very excited to be participating in the fight against cancer at Youree Drive Middle School. Let's team up against Leukemia and Lymphoma!
Tuesday, October 4

Caddo Parish School Board: The Caddo Parish School Board will host its monthly Executive Committee meeting at 4:30 p.m. at Central Office in the Board Room. The agenda may be found on BoardDocs.

Captain Shreve High: Freshman/Junior Varsity/Varsity Volleyball vs Haughton, Tuesday at 5 p.m. at Haughton High School

Wednesday, October 5

Lakeshore Middle School/Youree Drive Middle School: The Mighty Bears football team will be taking on the Youree Drive Spartans at Youree beginning at 5 p.m.
Thursday, October 6

Captain Shreve High School: Junior Varsity/Varsity Volleyball vs Northwood, Thursday at 5 p.m. at Northwood High School

Captain Shreve High School: Varsity Football vs Parkway, Thursday at 7 p.m. at Lee Hedges Stadium; Senior Night; #GoGators
Friday, October 7

Lakeshore Middle School: Lakeshore will host its Amazing Shake competition on Oct. 7 at 9 a.m. for the Caddo Parish Transformation Zone where 40 scholars will compete to represent Lakeshore as the top 20!!!

North Caddo High School: North Caddo will be taking their ACT College Incentive Trip on Oct. 7. Juniors who scored at least a 20 on the ACT last year and the top scoring 9th and 10th graders on the Explore and Plan will be touring the programs at either Louisiana Tech University or Northwestern State University.

Walnut Hill Elementary/Middle School: It's one of the biggest events of the year! Walnut Hill's annual Grandparents' Day will be hosted at 7:45 a.m. at Walnut Hill in the auditorium.

Youree Drive Middle School: There will be a "free dress" day for YDMS students on Friday. Students will pay to wear their own style of clothes that day in order to raise money for Operation Gratitude which is an organization that sends care packages to our military deployed overseas and their families at home.
Saturday, October 8

Captain Shreve High School: Cross Country at Calvary Baptist Academy Cross Country Invitational, 8:00 a.m. Saturday at Calvary Baptist Academy

Captain Shreve High School: Z Club Women for Women International Banquet, Saturday at 11 a.m., Captain Shreve High School Cafeteria

North Caddo High School: The North Caddo Quiz Bowl team will compete at Magnet High.
