Caddo Sheriff’s Deputies Arrest Man for Drunken Hit-And-Run
A Blanchard man has been arrested following a hit-and-run, as well as several other traffic violations.
On Saturday morning, Deputies responded to reports of a burglary on Carroll Circle in Blanchard. When CPSO got to the scene, they found 34 year-old Colin Hurst bleeding in the backyard of the person who called. Hurst appeared to be heavily intoxicated and possibly believed he was at his own house.
Deputies started an investigation, and found out that Hurst had crashed his car on Glenn Road and ran away, leaving his car behind. CPSO also determined that Hurst was driving with a suspended license for a prior DUI.
Deputies transported Hurst to a hospital in Shreveport where he was treated for the injuries he got while trying to break in to the Carroll Circle home. After he was treated at the hospital, Hurst was taken to Caddo Correctional Center, where he was booked for hit and run, DWI (4th offense), and driving under suspension.
