After more than 30 years of wearing the same basic uniform design, Caddo sheriff's deputies are getting a fashion makeover.  Gone will be the traditional silver-tan shirts and dark brown pants.  They're being replaced by navy blue shirts and silver-tan pants. Auxiliary deputies and communications officers will wear the same colors but in the reverse combination.

Sheriff Prator says the new uniforms should be cooler than the old ones because they are made of a 65/35 polyester-cotton material instead of the old 100-percent polyester. The material wicks moisture away from the body and it's stain-resistant, too.
